Position Summary:

The primary functional objective of the position is direct contact with customers and channel partners in the given segment, to initiate and develop relationships, which will ultimately generate sales. It is through these relationships that we will achieve the best possible sales representation for Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Core Intern, you will be using the telephone, MS Teams, data science and email as your primary tools. Social media connections will also be an integral resource.

Responsibilities:

  • To focus on customers within the Academic, Hospital, Industry segments at a very exciting time of change!
  • The strategic development and growth of laboratory consumables is the primary focus of this role in coordination with the field sales counterpart making strong collaboration is an important requirement.
  • Apply data intelligence to analyse and develop sales opportunities with the greatest return on investment. Communicate key competitor activities, market trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customers
  • Build and maintain existing relationships by regular phone, MS Teams, email contact and occasional face to face meetings, with customers and potential customers. Use all routes to market including channel partners and e-commerce platform to deliver solutions for our customers.
  • Use Salesforce.com to ensure accurate customer records are held
  • Regularly provide written and verbal communication of successes and challenges to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum BSc within Life Sciences required
  • Must be fluent in French and English
  • Some experience from a sales function in relevant industry would be very beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong capabilities to interface effectively with all customer types
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed in commercial
  • Practical understanding of the sales processes & buying cycle
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams or similar programs required

L'objectif fonctionnel principal du poste est le contact direct avec les clients et les partenaires de distribution dans le segment donne, afin d'initier et de developper des relations qui, en fin de compte, genereront des ventes. Responsabilites :

  • Se concentrer sur les clients des segments Academique, Hospitalier, Industriel dans une periode de changement très excitante !
  • Le developpement strategique et la croissance des consommables de laboratoire constituent l'objectif principal de ce poste, en coordination avec l'homologue des ventes sur le terrain, ce qui rend crucial le travail d'equipe.
  • Vous êtes en charge de la mise en place de l'organisation et de la gestion de l'ensemble des activites de l'entreprise. Communiquer les activites des principaux concurrents, les tendances du marche et l'evolution des plans et priorites de developpement des clients, y compris les clients emergents.
  • Construire et entretenir les relations existantes par des contacts reguliers par telephone, MS Teams, e-mail et des reunions occasionnelles en face à face, avec les clients et les clients potentiels. Utiliser toutes les voies d'accès au marche, y compris les partenaires de distribution et la plateforme de commerce electronique, afin de fournir des solutions à nos clients.
  • Utiliser Salesforce.com pour s'assurer que les dossiers des clients sont exacts
  • Communiquer regulièrement, par ecrit et oralement, les succès et les defis afin d'ameliorer l'efficacite operationnelle globale de l'equipe, de la region et de l'organisation des ventes.

Exigences minimales/qualifications :

  • Minimum licence en sciences de la vie requis
  • Une experience de la fonction commerciale dans un secteur d'activite pertinent serait très utile.
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication ecrite et orale
  • Forte capacite à interagir efficacement avec tous les types de clients
  • Bonnes aptitudes à la negociation
  • Capacite à travailler efficacement au sein d'une equipe performante
  • Faire preuve d'une attitude positive et d'un desir de reussir dans le domaine commercial.
  • Comprehension pratique des processus de vente et du cycle d'achat
  • Faire preuve d'une grande flexibilite pour s'adapter à un environnement commercial en evolution rapide.
  • Competences informatiques en MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams ou autres programmes similaires.
